The Internet has revolutionized much of the world we live in, and education is certainly one of those areas. During the past decade, online classes have evolved from a novel new concept in distance learning to a highly-respected way of advancing one's knowledge and skills. A wide range of universities are now offering prestigious undergraduate and graduate degrees to students around the globe, with programs encompassing business, technology, and law among others.
BRICEL has taken those same degree-oriented online learning concepts and applied them to benefit executives, managers, and professionals wanting to increase their knowledge and skills, but not necessarily wanting to pursue an actual degree. BRICEL's focus is providing continuing education without disrupting your work or personal schedule by offering a range of classes in a convenient and easy-to-use online learning environment.
BRICEL courses start on Mondays and are four weeks long. Each week focuses on a particular area within a course subject, and classes include learning material as well as threaded discussions to interact with your instructor and classmates. Courses have suggested readings, but don't typically have a required textbook. And courses don't require taking exams or writing papers, but do typically have self-assessments to help students know if they understand the course material.
A demonstration class is available, including week one items, but without the ability to make postings.
